My Birthday Tea Party!!!

How cute is this. My girl friends Lilly and Jill planned a Tea Party for me for my (early) birthday. I think its a really cute and inexpensive idea (depending on where you go) for a birthday party with your girls. We even had a theme for the party which was Vintage, pearls and lace, Classic tea party attire.. It was so much fun. All of the girls wore little hats and pearls and we dressed up in cute little dresses.
We decided to have ours at the Peninsula Hotel in Beverly Hills, but you can google any hotel and see if they have a "High Tea" or Afternoon Tea there. Or search on Yelp as shown below.

We all met at 2:30pm and left at about 5pm. After about 30 min they brought out strawberries and whip cream. Some of us ordered champagne as well. Then shortly after they brought out everyones tea. On the tea menu each person can select a tea which comes with an entire tray of bite size treats. To save money we only ordered 3 FULL teas that comes with the tray of treats.  Everyone else just ordered individual tea instead of all of us getting the fully monte and not finishing it. So for 7 girls we had 3 trays of treats- it was the perfect amount.
I included the menu from the Peninsula tea so you can see what Im talking about. We ordered 3 of the Imperial teas.

I ordered the Jasmin tea with honey; it was so yummy!
We decided that for each girls birthday, which happens to be 1 every month for the next few months, we would come back and do a Tea Party but with a different theme. Just a cute idea and experience I wanted to share with you because it was so fun and fab but really inexpensive once everyone chipped in and split the bill.
I hope you enjoy my pictures and it gives you great ideas for your own parties <3 My birthday btw is on the 17th of Feb :) Happy 27th birthday to me <3

Beautiful flowers in an antique tea pot from my lovely friend Sarah

Im clearly not used to this move LOL

Our treats. See how much comes per each Full Tea you order. Thats why we only ordered 3

Thanks again for checking out my blog. Happy Tea Party <3
xoxo
Jennifer

  2. What a charming way to hang with the girls. What happened to the Tea though? The emphasis was the snacks. Loose leaf premium tea is so delicious I have over 40 kinds and I make tea a part of my life everyday.

    1. We all ordered different kinds of teas. When I said we order 3 full teas that just meant with all the snacks. Each girl chose her own tea. Its was so yummy. I drink tea with ever meal I have. <3 Thanks so much for reading xx

  3. I LOVE your tiara! Every girl needs a tiara on her birthday! Your dress is so so cute too. I love high tea and I always do high tea in every city that I visit. My fav so far has been the Peninsula in Bangkok - I think all of the Peninsulas must be tea time experts =). They had a Japanese themed tea when I was there and all of the little desserts were soooo delicious. Your ombre looks really nice too you can really see it in the sunlight! xo Sofie

    2. That is so sweet! Pass the tiara - love girly traditions like that. I remembered I blogged about the tea in Bangkok a while ago if you want to see pics (high tea is near the bottom of the post). Peninsula was soo pretty there.

  4. I love love love your blog and really I hope you had the greatest time at your party but, I 100% sure that the cost of that party could buy a home for my family. Being stuck with your mother at 27 with two kids.......not a day goes by I don't feel lost and filled with the feeling of no way out.

    1. The tea party was maybe $40 per person once everyone split it. I think its a less expensive way to have an actual "birthday party" without having to spend a ton and it was much more intimate. Girl, why don't you start an online business? Or find really amazing goods in thrift stores and then sell them on ebay?

    2. Between school, kids household responsibilities, it is not possible. It is not as easy as it sounds trust me. But something will work out......

Since you obviously have more money then most of ur friends and you like to go to nice places to eat, if the friend cant afford it do you ever take care of the bill? just curious cause if i was ur friend i know i wouldnt be able to keep up with ur wonderful life style. You look gorgeous in all ur pics as always <3

  16. Hey doll ...

Love your ombre, I have one as well, well my stylist attempted to give me one. I found that the "ombre" pieces of my hair are super dry, and doesnt feel as healthy as my hair felt when it was all chocolate brown. Did you have the same issue? Any tips to make my hair feel healthier?

  22. Hi Jennifer let me start off by saying I think you are beautiful and so sweet, classy and stylish! But I have to say something... I read your plastic surgery journey and I saw where you got a tip refinement! However, I don't feel your plastic surgeon did your beautiful face justice and I don't think that is fair to you, it is defiantly more delicate now but it almost looks "done" and in some angles "odd" and characterish... I saw where you said you weren't completely satisfied with it. I feel like with plastic surgery it is such a gamble and that's the risk we take and sometimes it takes several procedures to be satisfied, I'm sure you know since you had your breast redone. Have you consider having a consultation with a different doctor since your not 100% satisfied? I know it's none of my business but I feel that plastic surgery is an art and since your such a beautiful and sweet girl you deserve to be 100% satisfied with your own outer beauty! :) thanks for always being honest, your more beautiful than any celebrity in Hollywood and I really enjoy reading your blog
